I’ve always liked Winter, but I think the conversion to Spring is pretty cool as well; where things are still wet, cold and overcast but beginning to freshen up. I think my absolute favourite time/type of day is when it’s dark at night with a healthy moon glow, a slight breeze and a light pattering of rain. It’s incredibly peaceful, I find. I could sit for ages listening to the sound of rain in the night. I find similar feelings when a storm is approaching with distant thunder grumbling in the sky and bright flashes of lightning moving closer. It’s spectacular to think that’s all nature’s doing.
