Happy New Year!
あけましておめでとうございます!
Apologies for the lack of updates over Christmas and the New Year! I was busy eating my way through pounds of chocolate and mince pies while spending time with my family and my girlfriend. But I did do a little Wii Sports Boxing to compensate for all the indulgences! Though I’d prefer to forget I was KO-ed twice in a row… o.O;
Also, as I wrote about last time in Japanese, I somehow managed to make the final 6 participants in a national speech contest for Japanese! I was so sure I had failed the phone interview I took in early December, but I got lucky I guess. I will go to London on 2nd February to give a speech in Japanese in front of an audience of about 100 people! o.O;

Throughout January I have exams to focus on - particularly Philosophy - so a few posts will be aimed at revision. Thinking caps on then! First up it’s Realism and Anti-Realism with landings in Possible Worlds and Morality.
You know, this is where Philosophy gets a little strange. A Philosopher named David Lewis created a hypothesis that allows for incredible possibilities. That is, it is arguable there is a Possible World for every thing imaginable. Unicorns? Check. Cornish Pixies? Check. Vampire ducks with fins and fur that go moo in the night? Check. Just how can I continue to take this subject seriously when theories like this are of paramount importance in modern Philosophy..?
Check back soon!
